Got a Question? We Might Have Your Answer! The Top Questions We Are Asked Daily
What do you have at Apple Annie’s ORCHARD?
Apple Annie’s Orchard is where we grow and sell our tree fruit crops…apples, peaches and pears. This is also where we serve our pancake breakfasts on festival weekends and apple-smoked burger lunches every weekend during our season. If you are interested in a homemade pie, apple bread or fudge, this is where to come! The orchard is also the home of our country gift shop, Apple Annie’s Attic.
What do you have at Apple Annie’s PRODUCE & PUMPKINS?
Apple Annie’s Produce & Pumpkins is where we grow and sell our vegetable crops. If you are searching for delicious sweet corn, vegetables and pumpkins and would like to pick-your-own or buy them already picked, our Produce & Pumpkins location is where to go. This is also the site for our annual pumpkin festival and our huge corn maze.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes, we take Visa and MasterCard.
Do you have an ATM machine?
We do not have one at either of our locations. The closest one is about 3 miles away.
Do you take checks?
We no longer accept checks. We gladly take cash, Visa and MasterCard (both debit and credit).
What are your hours?
Apple Annie’s PRODUCE & PUMPKINS is open daily July-September, 7 AM-5:30 PM. Apple Annie’s ORCHARD is open daily, July-September, 8 AM – 5:30 PM. BOTH of our locations are open daily October 1 – October 31 from 9 AM – 5:30 PM. On weekends that we serve breakfast at the orchard we open a little earlier; see the Special Events listing for exact times.
What are your prices for fruit and vegetables?
Visit the Harvest Calendar page and click on the Pricing Guide link.
Do you charge for parking or admission?
There is no charge for parking or admission; you pay for what you pick, meals and products you purchase. We do expect you to pay for all of the fruit and vegetables that you pick.
Can we bring our pet to Apple Annie’s?
Friendly pets on a leash are allowed at our orchard. Pets must be friendly around children and other pets. No pets are allowed in the fields at our produce farm.
Do we need to bring our own containers for our veggies and fruit?
We provide plastic bags, but we encourage you to bring your own containers. We recommend paper bags or flat cardboard containers to transport peaches; the boxes that cases of soda or bottled water come in are perfect!
Is picking only available on weekends?
Our orchards and fields are open for picking daily, July-October. Not all crops are available every day all season. Call our crop hotline at 520-384-2084 option 1 to check availability.
Why aren’t you open year round?
We are open during the months of our harvest, July – October. We often open the produce farm in late June if the vegetables are ready sooner than anticipated. Watch our website or subscribe to our “E-Mail Update” to get information on earlier opening dates. Each year we close both farms on October 31. Our weather is growing much cooler by then and we’ve often had the first hard freeze. During the winter and spring months the trees are dormant and the fields are bare. The fruit trees start blooming in March and we start planting the vegetable crops in early April.
